They were not diffused! I purchased these LEDs for a project I’m doing with a friend. We needed diffused LEDs to ensure a balanced brightness through the bulb of the LED. We recieved the items, but they were not diffused. These were water clear LEDs and were only bright when viewed from the top of the bulb, the sides were slightly dim. We used different resistors and the effect was still the same. If we had to, we could use sandpaper to roughen then sides to make them diffused, but I did not pay for work…

Pretty bright, and pretty resilient to current (was able … Work well, diffused. Pretty bright, and pretty resilient to current (was able to push 30mA through all of them without burning out). To note, I ordered 300. The only complaint might be the packagings – no ESD packing that I’m aware of, just little baggies stuffed with LEDs.That being said, they are LEDs, ESD won’t really cause too much harm to them as long as you are doing something stupid.

All good – “ultra-bright” may be a bit of a stretch, I didn’t measure luminosity but they aren’t excessively bright- most of the 100pcs are now used, and there have been no failures with any of the pieces to date- shipped direct from China, received within expected time frame- bulk packaged in a single ESD-safe baggie- these are common ANODE, not common CATHODE.I will be ordering more of these for a similar project in the future.
